Chateau de Cas is one of our favourite venues and the closest to where we are based in St Antonin. Stephanie & Nicholas, visited many venues in the area but it was this one that had their hearts beating in unison as soon as they stepped through the impressive gates. As they walked around the grounds, they knew exactly how their day would unfold: ceremony by the Pigeonnier (which is also a beautiful bedroom with en-suite), church bells ringing at the end of the ceremony, cocktail reception in the upper courtyard with a local jazz band and dinner and dancing on the back lawn. The couple were so inspired by the surroundings that they wanted the layout of the tables, as well as the decor, to blend in with shapes and colours already present. Hence the ‘tree like’ displays on the centre of each table (that lit up with fairy lights in the evening) and green, pale blue – the colour of the paintwork at the chateau – and soft dove grey for the decor and stationery. A lovely personal touch was added to the tables by Stephanie, who hand poured a candle for each guest and supplier. The magnificent cake was made by Stephanie’s talented mother, Barbie, and was brought out to the dining tables with fireworks shooting out of the central flower bed and to the Space Odyssey theme tune – this had the guests standing in applause. The celebrations finished at 4am after hours of fun on the dance floor, fueled by St Germaine Cocktails, Jungle Juice, Gin and Espresso Martinis….a very popular choice with many of our couples this season!
